"We had an excellent 6 nights at Lato. The property is very well maintained. Someone is always cleaning! The breakfast is delicious with MANY items from which to choose! Staff is quick and attentive. We ate a few times in the hotel restaurant. Our meals were excellent. The wine list is short but selective and reasonably priced. The wait staff were highly attentive and professional. Their thoughtfulness added to the positives of our meals."

"Beautifully set on the side of a mountain, the property was clean and tidy and located next to a shared pool. Very quiet and the view is amazing. Air conditioning available at an additional cost, but very fair pricing and definitely needed. Shops are close for essentials, and the seafront is around 20 mins downhill.. the walk back up is challenging especially if you've had a few bevvies, but taxis are very much available. Over all, very enjoyable stay and will defo be on my list to visit...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Rafkos mansion. Stelios the owner took us wherever we needed to go and we had delicious meals at one of the local restaurants. It would be wise to have a car because it’s in a village about 30mins. from Heraklion. Stelios is the definition of Greek hospitality! "

"My husband and I have both traveled internationally but neither of us have ever experienced the type of gracious and considerate hotel staff. Each and every one we encountered was amazing. This was really proven when my husband, who has heart problems, had to be taken to the hospital. They arranged a car to take me (while my husband was in the ambulance) and deliver both of us back home upon release. This was our first visit to Crete, for our 30th anniversary and we could not have been more...

"Location was fantastic and, so close to everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was really comfortable. Only downside was the room we were in, you could hear all the traffic noise outside. We hope to visit again soon."
