"On 8 August 2023 at 13:21, I called Acre of Africa Guest House to open the gate. They answered and said they will open the gate. In South Africa, too many people have hijacked at gates so I left rather than wait for them to respond. They finally called me back 17 minutes later. - but by then it was too late. Waiting for them to open the gate at night could have resulted in my kidnapping and murder - it's a scary thought. Now they're telling me they won't refund my money because I didn't wait at...

"We just arrived at the hotel after flying from the UK, we waited for the shuttle from the airport for over an hour to finally arrive after 7pm to check in. The hotel was really busy dealing with conferences and the receptionist told us to sit and wait for our room as it's not clean yet. After over 30mins wait we were offered a double room instead of a twin we booked, or wait even longer due to the conferences. We finally got our room key about 9pm.
