"This hotel must have once been a grand establishment, but unfortunately the years have not been too kind to it. Many parts of the hotel are showing their age, and the place now feels too large and empty for the amount of business it sustains. We do want to give credit to the hotel staff for their kind service, and the rooms are really spacious even by Western standards. "Great place to enjoy the Beppu Onsen experience - walking distance from all the Hells. Easy to reach the classic Dogo onsen - just walk there in your hotel robes! The facilities occasionally show their age but much of it is modernized and everything is very well maintained. Highly recommended."
