"Given the ratings/reviews & my experience with similar caliber properties around the world, I was disappointed in certain things. The security guard at the front gate of the property was extremely rude. Didn't welcome us but asked what we were doing there. Our driver was very taken back by his behavior & said he's never seen anyone so rude at this establishment. Two days prior to arrival, I was sent an email form w/ one of the questions asking when we'd be arriving. I selected the noon-2pm...

Our needs were anticipated and they were happy to assist us morning, day and evening, even when we were not on the premises. Prior to our arrival Ken arranged airport transportation. We decided to rent a vehicle and Ken arranged a car for us which was delivered to our front door. The accommodations were marvelous. Not many restaurant choices but we did manage. Ellie was helpful with a couple suggestions. Mero Beach js very nice black sand and the water is very clear and fairly warm. Highly recommend. "

"We stayed at the Banyan cottage and it was lovely. Up on a hill, very private. It had screens so no need to worry about bugs. The cooking area was nicely done so that you could cook breakfast easily. The property is gorgeous and you really feel like you're in the middle of the rainforest by yourself. Very relaxing. "This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way. The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "
