"The place was very clean. We stayed in the room with the double queen. The only negative I would have was there is no sleeping in with skylight position right in the middle of the two beds. The beds were very comfortable. The location was convenient for visiting many of the state parks. We would stay here again if the price is right. "

"This is a beautiful historic hotel that has been beautifully kept. The service is phenomenal! We really enjoyed our stay here. Just a note for anyone who has difficulty walking a bit of a distance: the north wing requires going up to the 2nd floor and walking through a skywalk to get to the newer section of the hotel. I only mention this because we tried helping an elderly couple find their room and the gentleman had a very difficult time walking the distance to get there and unfortunately it is the only way to get to some rooms. Other than that, great location a block from Pearl Street mall, impeccable service, and beautiful rooms!"
