"Great place to stay in Basel. Close to public transportation. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed had all basic amenities for a family of 4. A full size kitchen , washer dryer was awesome. The AC was not that good but a fan in the room helped. It would have been great to have a fan in each room. We kept the windows slightly open to let some fresh cool air in at night. But it invited some bugs too.. and noise of trams& cars passing by. Extra towels would have been helpful, we had to wash...

"Stayed 4days/3 nights.Took some getting used to. 1st flr reception&restaurant are modern, but the rest was more medical than 'spa'. Not what we were expecting, so took time to appreciate. Rooms-simple, spacious,comfortable&very clean. Furniture in great shape. Bathroom had window to room reducing privacy. BUT you see balcony view, so appreciated the decision. We paid extra for valleyview & it didn't disappoint! Altho a little loud at times w/tractors,cows&cars, but it was gorgeous &every sunset...

"Um 18.30 Uhr niemand an der Rezeption: Schlüssel im Briefkasten. Niemand zum Frühstück. Kein Mülleimer im Bad. Keine Seife/Shampoo in der Dusche. Nicht viele Steckdosen. Aber sonst sauber, Bett bequem! Ich empfehle die Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluss, sonst hat man keinen schönen Blick. Wir benötigen das Auto um irgendwo zu essen."

"We spent 2 days in Bienenberg Hotel. On arrival, we were asked whether we would be willing to take breakfast late, as that would allow personnel to come to work later. After recovering from that surprise, we had dinner in the restaurant. When we mentioned that the whipped cream in our desert was tasteless, the waitress replied that "In Switzerland, whipped cream has no taste". When we complained that there was a heavy deposit in the bottom of our glass of wine, we were told that that is normal....

"Returned from full day of sightseeing, FOB didn’t work (10:30 PM). No one answered call via call button. Thankfully, fellow guest let me in. WiFi is complete rubbish in common areas. Groceries were discarded prior to my departure (staff gave me complimentary salad-yum!). No electrical outlets/USB by beds. And, yes beds are RIGHT next to each other-bit weird. Pros? "Located near center of Sissach, hotel is near pedestrian walking shopping area. Room is a bit small but quiet. Staff very friendly and attentive and helpful. Beds are bit firm. Great experience and value for money."
