"The hotel is old and historical. In its youth I imagine it was gorgeous! Unfortunately, old things take a lot of upkeep and I’m not sure this hotel gets enough. The vibe is cool but the floors are very squeaky and loud. I heard the people in the room above me until late in the night. Because the hotel backs up to a large hill, the trash pick up and recycling is in front. The elevators didn’t all work all of the time, there was water damage around exterior windows, things are peeling on the walls, etc. The receptionist, while admitting it was her first day, checked us in but didn’t actually give us our keys nor tell us which room we were in.
