"Our adult family of four celebrated my sister-in-law's milestone birthday over 3 nights at this property. We had an amazing time. The property was as described, owner was easy to talk to and responsive and the surroundings were beautiful. We were able to take advantage of proximity to Ottawa, local Ski Hills and Nordik Spa. Extra touches were made by the owner to be sure we were comfortable (including extra instructions book, coffee pods, some snacks). I enjoyed the extra care taken to add privacy to the loft and living room if needed through the addition of curtains. This addition also helped with minimizing light in the morning so we weren't woken up too early. We had a considerable amount of snow over the weekend and someone came and plowed the driveway before we were even awake. Note that the water pressure is quite low, but this is normal for a property of this type and we were able to manage just fine. We would love to come back again in the winter, but could see how it would be a great property in the summer as well."

"Had a fantastic friends reunion weekend here and loved it. Jaro was a fantastic host and very responsive. Check in and check out were a breeze and the place was very comfy. Hot tub was a real bonus in the winter time, and the lake is gorgeous."

"We recently stayed at this chalet and had a mixed experience. Starting with the positives: this would be an incredible place in the summer! The view is stunning, with a peaceful lake, private dock, and serene forest surroundings. The large lot is perfect for families, offering trails and plenty of outdoor games and activities for kids and adults alike. It’s truly a picturesque and relaxing retreat.However, our winter stay came with some challenges. Being a country chalet that isn’t lived in full-time, mice were an issue. While we understand this is almost unavoidable in rural settings, the mice were particularly active at night, especially in the basement, and their noise disrupted sleep for those staying there.Additionally, we rented this chalet specifically because the listing said it had a hot tub, but there wasn’t one. This was a major letdown, as we passed on other properties for this feature, and it significantly impacted our stay. Soaking in a hot tub after winter activities was something we’d all been looking forward to, so its absence was disappointing.On a positive note, the host, Abe, was very kind and quick to respond. He acknowledged the mistake about the listing and offered a resolution, which we appreciated. Despite the challenges, the chalet’s setting is stunning, and it would be an amazing spot for a summer getaway. Future renters may want to confirm all amenities beforehand to avoid similar issues"
