This was my first time in India and I had a 36 hour layover so I chose to stay here because it was affordable and near the airport. I was perfectly satisfied with everything at the hotel. The staff were very eager to make me feel at home and the food in the cafe was delicious, clean, and healthy.
In regards to previous negative reviews, please remember that things are very different in India and if you want to stay somewhere that feels like the West, choose one of the large international chains. In my opinion, if you come to a new place, it's best to experience what that place is really like, not a colonized version. Now, after having spent 2 weeks in various places in India, I can assure you that this place is quite posh. It has sit-on toilets, toilet paper, hot water, shower, and clean drinking water in the lobby.
The staff helped me get taxis via Uber, which they didn't have to do. The food is unbelievably affordable, at less than $5 per meal.
