"It's a lovely home and comfortable,perfect for a Maine vacation. As with most older homes with older furnishings there is always extra mantenance needed over the years (having grown up in a house in Uk that was Elizabethan at one end and Georgian at the other I can attest to that!) A suggestion would be to address the dust on the drapes, especially upstairs, and most importantly the dust collection on the window blinds, especially at their lower edges. In addition we had problems with having...

"I was blown away by this property and the property managers. Words don't do it justice. It's adorable, unique, clean, peaceful and there is something enjoyable for everyone of all ages. From the downstairs bookstore just casually available in the living room, the fireplace, to the field of flowers in the back, and the screened in porch, to the refurbished bathtub reading nook. It was a magical place on a magical island and the perfect stay! "

"Unfortunately the mold is still in the shower. We were without heat for 3 days. We did message, text, and call but it took a full day for someone to call us and it did not get resolved before we left. The cabin got to 50 degrees at night. The private location was lovely and peaceful."

The hosts were very quick to respond with one little issue and the space was very comfortable. Only negative was that there was no hairdryer but we would definitely stay there again. "We really enjoyed our stay in Deer Isle. The house is very nice and comfortable. The location is near a main road and it’s not walkable to anything but the surrounding area on the island is quite spectacular. We especially loved Sand Beach for a cool evening sunset swim. A day trip to Acadia was really nice too. Finding the dishwasher full of dishes and having to unload it upon arrival was a bit of a bummer while on vacation. Otherwise, the place was clean and well appointed."
