Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
There were no staff from arrival to departure. The kitchen is very poorly supplied. The rooms are basic. The booking said clearly that we could pay on arrival, and we wanted to pay on our Canadian debit card, but the payment was taken on our English credit card a week or so before arrival. They have the market because there is so little accommodation in the area, but their winter service is awful.
Owners are kind and take pride in their lodge. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely lodge, and would stay again! During our stay, there was a wildfire that closed the hwy, they kept us informed on reopening. Highly recommend!!!
Staff was very pleasant and easy to deal with. Very understanding and accommodating with the wild fires in the area. I would recommend this lodge to anyone traveling the that area.
I was in Dease Lake to visit surrounding area. Kurt was very helpful with both directions and suggestions for things to see. I would never stay anywhere else in the Dease Lake region.
This lodge was like a privately run homestay or guesthouse, with a common kitchen and private, very luxurious bedroom & bath, very nice place to rest. I met a retired couple on their way to Alaska (I was headed south on the Stewart-Cassiar). Very happy with this accomodation.
