"This was our 40th year vacationing at Sylvan Beach. Our first year was at the Oneida and several years since. We have witness many remodels of the property over the year. We enjoy the location and the access to the beach. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. Unfortunately, there is a major issue with the upstairs shower leaking into the downstairs bathroom, making the floor dangerous and flooding the light fixture and making it short out. I would recommend that more towel fixtures...

"Cute and spacious house. Right on the lake and walkable to everything you could want in Sylvan Beach. Plenty of places to eat in town and the sunsets are hard to beat. The house overall is comfortable and we never felt cramped, despite having 4 adults, a small dog and 2 teens. Lots of room to spread out, especially the porch. Only complaint was the inaccurate description of the beds. All full size, no queens. Lastly, the owner was very responsive. Would love to return."

"House was perfect for our needs -- a long parents weekend visit to Colgate. Not exactly Colgate adjacent, but convenient to the airport, Syracuse and right on Lake Oneida and 30 min to Colgate. Just down the road from Verona Beach State Park and it's possible to keep walking to Sylvan Beach -- and with perfect fall weather it was an amazing walk. House was great to cook in and made for a fine remote work location. I only wish we'd made better use of the she shed /man cave b/c it is an awesome...
