"We stayed for 5 nights at this beautiful place in the heart of Dokkum. Our Host, Mient was very responsive to messaging; so accommodating; and very happy to assist us with planning activities and he gave great advice. Though we only spent one full day in Dokkum, it was a great day! We also visited so many other Friesian Towns from this home base. We participated in the Elfstedentocht, which was great fun. Dokkum was a stop on the route. The historic home was very nicely renovated and comfortable. All amenties were considered here. We even had a bottle of wine, and a couple of beers awaiting our arrival. I would most definitely recommend this great accommodation to anyone wishing to visit this part of the Netherlands. I would certainly love to stay here again if I ever find myself in Friesland in the future"

"Well-maintained hotel in a lovely country village. The building has been there a long time, but everything was clean and worked well. The hotel restaurant was very busy all the time! I found the food and service outstanding. The local area is full of walking paths and plenty of natural beauty."
