"The only reason I didn't give excellent is because the hallway and stairs need work. The room itself was bright and comfortable and clean. I feel this prooerty has gotten an unfair rap. "I wasa confused when I arrived as there was no sign on the door to indicate this was the pension. The owner was very kind and came to let me into the room at 23.00. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that the owner insisted on an extra EURO20 cleaning charge for the room. These hidden extras are a considerable annoyance. When you see a price on a web-site, you expect that price to be charged."

"I picked this hotel because it was close to Tegel airport, My flight left at 10:45 am and I had a rental car. I parked my car right in front of the hotel. BUT: they were not serving breakfast, in spite of the fact that the website said that breakfast could be bought The worst part is that they would not accept credit card payment. At the end of a trip, people are usually low on cash. I had to walk for 20 minutes each way to get to a U-tube station here I could get some money out from an ATM....

"The hotel is overpriced. Looked better online than it really is. Still a great hotel, though. Clean and comfortable. The gym is not good, very basic and lacks weights. Same as the sauna - it wasn't even working most of the days I stayed there. The phone in the room wasn't working, so I couldn't call the receptionist anytime. The breakfast is VERY average and super overpriced, it also looked much better online than it truly is. The area though is amazing, very central and easy to get around. "
