"We had 14 people stay throughout the weekend. Plenty of room to join the fun or find a quiet space. The views were stunning and kitchen was well appointed. Everyone slept wells so the beds are great. You have a small town about 4 miles away were you can pick up items you may need. Harris Teeter is 12 miles away. Great stay! Vonda "

"Note: "Pet Friendly" only extends to dogs under 20 pounds. The park trails along the Potomac were its best feature. They start just a very short walk from the front door. The house worked out very well for us. It was sparsely furnished and some elements were slightly shabby, but it was fine as we were most interested in getting together. It was excellent value for the many bedrooms. Just don't expect a mansion. "

"Gayfield Manor is an adventure in history and about family. We had the opportunity to stay in the “Scientist’s Suite.” Looking at the pictures, leafing through the books, the pieces to the puzzle began to connect. "Hugh was a wonderful, attentive host during our week-long stay in the DC area. He is extremely responsive and helpful and saw to it that our stay the very best that it could have been. This living space is well-appointed and exceptionally clean, nestled in a quiet neighborhood away from the bustle of downtown -- but all the DC sites are an easy bus/Metro ride away.
