"Located a few miles from our family cabin, I'm so thankful I found the Oar House for the weekends when a LOT of family is up at the cabin! It was a great place for my kids and I to stay. I had trouble with the keypad, but the owner was able to unlock the door remotely, and then I used the key for the front door the rest of the time. "I rented the house to have a place to stay while visiting family from Virginia. The home was comfy and large enough to host my family of 8 and entertain extended family for a Thanksmas celebration. I didn’t find a shovel or salt which would have been helpful since it showed. I was also told it had 2 slow cookers, and couldn’t find either. Besides that, our experience was very pleasant and we would rent this home again. "

"We had 14 people there with all ages and fit very comfortably. It was beautiful to look out to the snow covered lake. Hostess was great to respond to our needs and easy to work with. The driveway goes down a little hill which was hard to get up with the snow but we understood the guy who does the snow plowing was on Christmas vacation so should be fine in the future. We enjoyed our stay there. Shopping and bowling in Du Bois. "
