"Booked a stay for me and my wife as a routine escape and i didn't regret it. The most exquisite views and surroundings. The Staff were impecable. The only finger pointing I will do is some lack of maintenace. From almost broken doorknobs, elevator panels almost coming off, fissures on the walls and a hole outside on the floor at the outdoor pool leaves a sour taste to it, as it is a 5 star hotel. Nonetheless a great experience. Just be advised, the means of transport in the area are really scarse, and if you wish to have a nearby local dining experience you will be disappointed, as there are no nearby restaurants or even shops/supermarkets. Either you dine at the restaurant hotel, which you need previous reservation (1 Day prior) or you ask for room service, which is equally good. The bar offers lights meals as well. Also don't forget any type of necessaire, no shops or supermarkets in the area."

"A wonderful stay. We enjoyed the quiet vineyard setting with the amazing views. The hospitality and care shown by Mafalda and Francisco was lovely. We felt right at home. The breakfast was delicious. Other meals were enjoyed at the cafes/restaurants 1.2km away. We look forward to coming back soon. TIP: come for Easter Sunday when there is a nighttime candlelit procession down to the lower town while fireworks are going. Fantastic! "

"We had an excellent time at Torel Quinta da Vacaria. They exceeded our expectations. This place truly is luxurious with a full spa. There is an outdoor pool and indoor pool. Steam rooms are open to all resort guests. The free breakfast was delicious with iberian ham included. The on site vineyard wine tasting was great too. Nice museum-like display told the history of douro valley vineyards."
