"Was enjoyable stay"

"Property was facing the beach and our room overlooked the sea. The room was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable. The communal areas although clean were dated. The staff were very helpful and were able to provide a hotel guest parking permit for parking on the road outside the property for a small charge of £2.20. It was a short walk to the pier and just a little further to the town centre. "

"We were met by the owner, Rod, who was very friendly and showed us to our room, very comfortable and quiet. There was a Japanese theme about the house and garden which was most interesting. Breakfast served in the small courtyard was an extra bonus as the sun was out with blue skys overhead. We found the stay 1st class, thank you Rod! "

"The Apollo is an old quaint building with a few charming quirks. It is very convenient to the train station, the pier/beach and the funky downtown area. We walked everywhere and felt safe but there was an abundance of litter on the sidewalks from both people and seagulls that tear open and scatter garbage which does not seem to get cleaned up. The proprietor was very nice and the building was secure. While the bed was comfortable, bed linens need to be upgraded. "

"Pictures on this site dont do it justice now obviously been updated. Easy to check in and a realy nice idea to do a self make breakfast in the rooms. As a business it was nice and peaceful for us after a heavy day ."

"The host was acomodating and really helpful. Easily accessible via texts. We never actually saw her. Room was prepared for us and welcoming, refreshments were available on arrival and kid found little fridge greaf. Some little things in there that makes the room not be worth 10/10 like little TV never working or shower leaking so needing to use one of towels to make sure we don't drown neighbours, but we would return providing that the order becomes easier. Unsure if I'd book via hotels.com...

"3 of us stayed in the 3 single bed family room on a room only basis the room was extremely clean with en suite shower room. The beds were very comfortable tea and coffee was supplied and when we needed more milk they bought us more. The room also had doors out to a little patio area overlooking a pool with fish and a lawn beyond."

"It was good to have the reassurance of a parking place (although this is on a first come basis). Although they did not do breakfast, the hotel offered cereal and toast with plenty of tea and coffee in the room. We did struggle with the TV (which only seemed to get certain channels, although this might have been our lack of IT skills). We were on the top floor which may have been responsible for the lack of water pressure in the shower. However, overall good value for money."

"From start to finish our stay was truly exceptional. We felt very privileged to stay in such a magnificent home!! Everything was truly 1st class, from the beautiful suite we stayed in, the incredible breakfast washed down with bubbly (how decadent) and two of the most generous, warm, interesting and welcoming couple you could ever meet. I left feeling genuinely sad leaving them, and a little in love!!!!!! Stay here if you can, the experience is second to none!! Thank you, thank you, thank...
