"Brilliant place to catch up with friends - wonderful social space with such a peaceful view into the forest and a great base to explore the area. A few dead flies around when we arrived and the cleaners things (including supplies of wine and cleaning products) were left out when we arrived, and the shelf with the glasses on is slanting so we took the glasses off to avoid disaster - but none of those things affected our enjoyment of the property which we would recommend (and may come back again!)...

"Week rental with family and friends, all over 60. Kitchen great. Good showers! Nice grounds. Lots of sitting rooms but we stuck with one nearest kitchen- furniture a bit old with collapsed pillows and some scary kitchen chairs (tried to find some glue to fix). "

"I cannot recommend this property high enough to do it total justice. Martin our host, met us at check in and provided a tour and all information we needed. Our check in and check out were easy and hassle free. The house is wonderfully appointed and the location is brilliant, perfect for the many day trips we did in the highlands. "

"Lilyfield was amazing. Everything you needed for a relaxing stay. Views from the cottage are breath taking. Enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air hearing the sheep in the fields. Claire was a most gracious host and assured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying if you are in the area."

"My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and we loved having a kitchen to prepare many of our meals in. Restaurants and the pub were a short walk away (oct is the end of the season for many store/business owners. The Whiskey Castle was closed but we were happy to step in the pub for some whiskey sampling there). "The peace & quiet here was amazing! Other guests were respectful & the only noise in the morning was the ducks looking for food. Our lodge was dated but comfortable. There were a few minor issues but nothing that affected our stay. So in summary the accommodation is not luxurious but the location & setting are wonderful if it’s a quiet break you are looking for.
