"We have stayed several times at the Hotel Madison and have been pleased with our experience. This most recent stay wasn't as wonderful. Whenever we walked into our room we noticed a strong wintergreen smell. That was annoying. The closet had a single hanger in it. We asked the front desk the next morning to supply more hangers. When we returned in the evening there was still only one hanger. Second request did the trick. They only do housekeeping on request. Didn't see any notification of that...

"The front desk manager, Melissa, was extremely helpful when there was an issue with the thermostat in our room. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, due to an impending snow storm, we had to cut our stay short. Melissa worked with the gentleman from Expedia to complete my travel insurance claim. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future."

"Everything was good overall. The front receptionist did not greet us, she looked like she hate her job. The room was clean except there’s red spot on one of the bed sheets. They did changed it next day after I told the front desk. The hotel is pet friendly, we could hear noises occasionally from our room at night. The room is super dry during the winter I recommend bring a humidifier. We bought one after we couldn’t sleep on the first night. "

"We went for a quick getaway, and are already planning a longer trip back with our kids. The staff were so helpful (we forgot all our toiletries) and the setting was gorgeous. It’s a lodge in a national park, not a luxury retreat in Aspen, so accommodations fit the setting, but all in all we were really happy. The only ding is that the mattress wasn’t *great* but we were fine. "
