There’s only one slight negative which is the pool temperature which I believe isn’t suitable for children…Adults will be fine but the last two times we’ve stayed here the children have never been able to enjoy the pool due to it being too cold. "I have stayed here many times. Southern Cross is an ancient Devon thatched cottage and grade 2 listed building. It is quaint and quirky. The service is brilliant, the breakfast is excellent and very dog friendly. I always enjoy my stay. "

The premises are within easy reach of main roads to nearby Exeter and the coast, as well as lovely local pubs including Traveller’s Rest and Kings Arms for evening meals.
