"Big spacious rooms, furnished to building style - time has worn down the features/walls and the bathroom needed repairs but it was usable. Great night sleep and good breakfast! "

"From the minute we arrived the staff could not been more helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and they made you feel so relaxed. Found the atmosphere very homely and felt right at home from arrival until departure. The meals we had were excellent and everything was definitely value for money. Have already booked to go back for Hogmanay and this is the only place we will stay in the future. I cannot recommend the Ben Mhor highly enough."

The welcome was warm and friendly, and the room spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean (I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel this clean!). "We had a fantastic stay at Eight Acres Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room had been recently refurbished, and it was fresh and comfortable with modern touches like faux leather headboards a mirror frame. There were plenty of sockets, which was really convenient for charging devices, although none had USB ports, so remember your plugs. We also enjoyed the tea, coffee, and hot chocolate facilities and especially the shortbread biscuits. The shower was powerful and hot, perfect for a refreshing start to the day. Breakfast was another highlight, with a delicious full Scottish breakfast featuring black pudding and tattie scone. There is currently no catering facilities, (or pool/gym/spa), at the hotel other than breakfast, but there’s a bus stop just outside the hotel and it took us 5 mins into the centre of Elgin. We didn’t want to drive as we wanted a drink with our meal. Overall, our experience was great. With good hospitality, comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast."

"loved my stay. Large room overlooking the square. clean and comfortable. kind of old fashioned as is fitting for the. building. I expected a small room with single bed but was delighted to have a large double bed. ensuit was rather small but that didnt bother me. Loads of hot water and big fluffy soft towels. Tea, coffee and shortbread replenished daily."
