Ravenwood's Cabin is located in the pristine wilderness of the Sayward Valley. The property is 40 private acres, bordering the crystal clear waters of the Salmon River and features majestic old growth forest, grassy meadows, and many species of edible and culturally significant plants. Guests are graced with regular visits from a local herd of Roosevelt Elk and the annual salmon run draws in wildlife of all kinds. The space is perfect for a couple or individual looking for a cozy retreat.
An environmental ethic that takes into account the well-being of the Earth is important to us. The Cabin was built using upcycled and re-used materials whenever possible. The cabin is around 500 sq. ft. and features an open concept. The kitchen is super cute and the space is welcoming and comfortable. There is a wood stove for cooler nights and winter stays. We love the space and are sure you will too.
Your host, Corinna, and her husband live at Ravenwood. Corinna is an ecopsychologist and founder of Dragonfly Healing. Ravenwood is where she runs her private practice. During your stay, you might like to experience some of her transformative experiences in nature. She offers nature-based reiki, drum journeying, medicine walks, healing quests, and nature-based counselling. You can find her at on the web by searching Dragonfly Healing + Corinna Stevenson.
Ravenwood boasts several gardens. During the growing season you can expect to see your hosts harvesting and watering gardens. There is also a gate that will be closed every night to keep elk and deer from wandering in and helping themselves to our produce.
Ravenwood is a healing forest. If you're looking for peace and quiet or to reconnect with self and nature, the cabin is the perfect place to stay.
Note: The cabin is located on a main part of the property with access to our beautiful walking trails and to the river. The Raven’s Nest Skoolie is next door the cabin. Please respect the privacy of guests who may be staying there and we will ask them to do the same for you. You have access to the entire property, with exception to the area where our home is. The property is 40 acres so there is plenty of wild space for you to enjoy. We ask that you respect our privacy by not walking through our living area. There is a new orchard we just planted between the two places but the trees are still small. There are temporary privacy screens in place until the trees fill out more.
