"this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. "We stay in the area regularly to visit family and we would definitely stay in this house again. The location was convenient for our needs. There were plenty of things to do at the house to keep everyone happy, even in January! One thing to note since I didn’t notice when booking, there aren’t tv’s in the bedrooms. The projector and couch in the basement was the preferred hangout space for our teens."

"Nice and clean. Plenty of trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper which is always nice. Good easy distance to Snowshoe. If they get snow before/during your trip I would recommend 4WD. Great stay thank you!"

"My family and I traveled to Webster Springs for Christmas. My husband and I grew up in this area. The house is located about 2-3 miles from my parents, so the overall location was wonderful. The house is spacious, has the amenities that you would anticipate, plus it had quite a few things that were unexpected . Kara was wonderful to answer questions prior to the trip and the entire time we were there. We will definitely return!"

"A very peaceful and secluded place to stay that is still close to Snowshoe. Plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of toiletries provided. No one mentions the soothing sounds of the water running from the front porch! "I traveled with my family (husband, two kids and the grand parents). Overall the property was very nice and clean. 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms so lots of space. Bathrooms are different. 4 rooms side by side, toilets in a separate room as the showers. There are pros and cons to this place. -First off it is a shared property. "The property owner was great and accommodating. The property has the cabin feel perfectly situated in the small friendly town, between Summersville and Cass, one direction falls, glades, Cass Scenic Railroad, and Snowshoe. In the other direction Rail Express, and Adventures on the Gorge. So many small friendly towns and trails to walk."

"My sister and I, our spouses, children, and dogs enjoyed our Thanksgiving in the WV mountains. We were even treated to a light snow one of the nights. The house property were exactly as expected. The house has absolutely everything that you can imagine or need. Plenty of bedding, towels, and the kitchen was very well stocked.
