"So disappointing. We booked this as a mid-way break on our 16 day driving tour; 1 night in a resort with spa facilities. The pool, hot tub, saunas, and whirlpool; all closed. The bar was closed! One of 2 restaurants on site was open. One of the couples got the robe and slippers, the other couple did not. No apology, no money off. We were told we could use a nearby hotel pool; it was snowing! Eating out in local area was expensive but there is plenty of choice - popular places get booked up so worth booking a few days in advance. Appertivo is a big thing where Apres ski drinks are served with snacks but included in the price of the drink €10/beer is usual. "Had a lovely stay at Maison La Saixe! The owner was very kind and helpful and the room was nice. Quaint hotel with cool decorations and the breakfast was also amazing. Only down side is it’s a little far from the main town of Courmayeur (about 12 min walk). Overall really enjoyed my stay and would recommend staying here!"

"We stayed in a few other properties while in Courmayeur and absolutely fell in love with Chalet Svizzero . It was so warm and welcoming. The alpine aesthetic set the tone along with a fire in the central living room fireplace and Johnson pouring drinks from the charming bar. "If you are looking for a ski holiday in Courmayeur, I would recommend ski-in ski-out accommodation on Plan Checrouit itself. By staying on Plan Checrouit, you avoid having to queue for the gondola up and down Plan Checrouit, which can get quite busy at peak periods. With certain consecutive day ski passes, going up and down the gondola at night was covered and the gondolas were quite frequent.
