"Wow what an amazing experience we had at East twin cottage carmichael, the property is a little dated but very clean and in an amazing location. We had deer field for our back garden and we even witnessed a deer give birth just meters away from us on quite morning! They people who run the business are so friendly and helpful. "We checked in a little late but this was not a problem as we called ahead. We found Eagle Lodge with ease. The lodge was clean and everything we could need. However, we did have to purchase air freshener as the lodge had a strong musty smell but it soon disappeared once we had been there for a couple of day'. "Het huisje is oud en authentiek ingericht. Super netjes schoon en fijn ingedeeld. Aan alle dingen was gedacht. Matten voor de vieze schoenen, schone wasmachine en een zachte vloer. Heerlijke douche! "Property was spotless, beds comfortable, Wi-Fi very good, kitchen well equipped, though none of the odds and end like salt and pepper often found in a self catering place so take absolutely everything you need with you. Perfect wee village- pub excellent with a limited choice of pretty good pub grub and less than a 100yard stagger away! Lovely walks on the doorstep and beautiful scenery, and sheep."

"We loved everything about our stay at Townhead from the glorious views to the cozy and thoughtfully planned house. Communication with the manager and the housekeeping staff before and during the stay was prompt and kind. The welcome drinks and food meant we didn’t have to run into Peebles when we first arrived. We unpacked and would have happily stayed much (much!) longer than a week. It’s a wonderful area to walk and explore but really, you’ll want to stay home and read or write or draw....

"We were a group aged nine to eighty. There was a lot on offer to cater for us all. There were nine of us and the place was big enough for us to spread out and enjoy varying activities. A bus stop outside going into Edinburgh was a bonus. Would highly recommend it. Does Scotland proud!"
