This didn't happen. The door was looked and no one was there. The sign on the door said to use the intercom, but there isn't any intercom, so we called the number on the door of the hotel and no one answered, so I looked at our confirmation email from Expedia and found a different number, which was answered by...

"We really enjoyed our stay here. It's minutes walk from the downtown center of Beaune and was a very spacious unit. As mentioned in several reviews, the stairs up are reminiscent of an old castle staircase, what you would expect in a home of this age in Beaune, so if you can't stand to carry your bag up stairs, it wouldn't be for you. We are middle-age and healthy so we had no issue. I would definitely stay at this unit again."

"Terraces were very large and perfect for the warm weather. The flat was large and comfortable. The front door to the building was glass and it was smashed. It was propped open when we arrived but was closed and locked with the smashed glass for the rest of the time. Unfortunately, we were not given a key to the front door and had to rely on luck and the neighbours to let us in. Also, we were told we had to pay 15 Euros for sheets.
