"After the challenges of checking in, this place was charming. Figured out how to walk into town. Nice breakfast. Charming host with limited English. Lovely old house full of antiques."

"Bedding and towels and toilet roll not replaced, only one pillow each and never anyone on the desk, you had to call a number to contact anyone. Over all it was clean and very well priced. "Beautiful property, great breakfast. Our stay was spoilt be being asked by the owner to check out two hours earlier than advertised, ie at 10am, so beware if you are checking out on Sunday. We felt we had no choice but to comply - it should not have been like that. In the rush to vacate our rooms we forgot we had to pay cash, rather than the credit card details given on booking. The owner was understanding about this and we settled the bill remotely by bank transfer. So, a good and bad...

"Casa Do Cimo is a must for all those interested in the history and tradition of the area of Fundao. Fredrico was charming and very helpful. His cats also helped to make my stay more interesting. My understanding of the Portugese language grew by leaps and bounds during my time here."

"Luna Chalet are rustic chalets, and I must admit that the unit given to us was very comfortable with great views. Nice bedding, good towels, all dishes and soap needed. The only negative is that they supply the nespresso type machines but with no pods. It would have been nice to have coffee in the morning. A lot of channels on the television also. "Wij genoten van het verblijf in het rustieke huis. Alles was prima verzorgd, het haardvuur stond al aan bij aankomst.De eigenaar is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Omdat wij nogal lang zijn was het bed voor ons een beetje te kort. Vanaf de veranda is er een mooi uitzicht op de olijfboomgaard en de wijngaard voor het huis. In de omgeving konden we mooi wandelen met onze honden.Fijn dat de honden mee konden op vakantie. In het nabij gelegen dorp is een kleine supermarkt die goede producten...

"We stayed in a deluxe room but although the other rooms are smaller, we all got to share the ambiance of the hotel. It is simply amazing no matter what the weather was doing. Breakfast was terrific. There were so many little alcoves to read, write, chat or plan your next adventure. This is our number one choice for Portugal. "

"We had a very nice stay at this hotel in the mountains. There were some nice (though not easy) walks nearby me the hotel felt much like a wellness retreat. We opted for 1/2 board (breakfast dinner) since there were not a lot of spots nearby and the driving made me a bit nervous. The menu had good selection and I appreciated seeing wines on the menu from their Duoro vineyard location. "

"The stay was very relaxing. Nice property and good mountain view from the Family Villa. The manager Ms. Carlota was very kind, polite and accomodative to every request.She arranged for special decrations for my daughter"s birthday. The front office staff do their best and Mr. Nuno deserves a special mention.Overall, a very good experience.God bless you, all."
