"Warm greeting from Alison set the tone for this delightful small hotel. A cosy room with a comfy bed, great shower and a fantastic view over the sea. It's a fair way from restaurants so you need to drive into Berwick where there are great places to choose from. We had a great Turkish meal at Mavi. Highly recommend this hotel. "

"East House is a lovely old property. We had a large room with a great view across farm fields (there were cows!), and the sea, you could also see Dunstanburgh castle in the distance. The host was really welcoming and friendly. Despite what it says in the description the beds are fully made up and there is a good supply of towels in the bathroom so you don’t need to bring sheets etc. nice touches in the room included a kettle, coffee, fresh milk, cereals, biscuits, shampoo, hair conditioner,...

"Had an excellent night's sleep here before the Jedburgh Ultra. The bedding was high-thread Egyptian cotton and felt very smooth and cool and luxurious. The mattress was super-comfy too. The owners Amanda and Rob were really welcoming when I arrived. It was just a few minutes walk from the bus stop. There were codes for the front door, porch door and rooms, so it felt secure. An early start for me, so I didn't have time for breakfast, but looked like lots of good options available for that too....

I was made very welcome and the two hosts went out of their way to help - offering advice on places to eat and willingly providing an early breakfast on the Sunday morning. "The small cottage is very well equipped, It has been very well thought out, every thing you need using the small tidy space. The outside area is so peaceful and will be at it's best in summer. The garden area very secure for a dog and the cottage is ideal for a single person and a four legged companion, quite a rare find. It rained very heavy one evening yet we heard nothing and felt very snug and warm. "
