Beautiful property with character
The property comprises an old circular tower and attached barn which has been carefully converted into a 2 bed/2 bathroom rental. It is well maintained and a very clean property. There is a reasonable size infinity pool with a fantastic view towards Corfu Town. The master bedroom and kitchen are circular being in the old tower. The living area has views over the countryside and bay and is very comfortable. The grounds are beautifully kept and colourful. As with many properties of this type there is a steep drive up from the road but there is a parking space half way up on the level.

Spectacular Views
Absolutely amazing villa with views that are second to none. Secluded and peaceful with panoramic views across the bay to Corfu Town. Infinity pool beautifully clean. The description on Vrbo is a little too poetic. It has 2 bathrooms not 4, it has three teaspoons and no oven (combi microwave) utensils and facilities OK for two but I think you would struggle with items provided for four. The room at the top can not be visited without you stopping in amazement at the view each and every time. Overall it is a lovely place and when it was converted it would have been absolutely perfect. There appears to have been no Money spent on it since however, the cleanliness reminded me of visiting Greece in the seventies, all OK unless you looked. You will have a great holiday here I just wish the operators would spend a little money and a little time getting the place back to its glorious past. There were a few other issues, parasol at the pool needed replacing as torn and inoperable, toilet seats both falling off and very dirty below the waterline. We did have to ask several times where we could find the key and were left waiting outside on arrival until we later received a WhatsApp !! Fridge is very old and need replacing, dishwasher needs attention as doesn’t clean !!

Pictures don’t lie
This place was beautiful. Loved the pool, loved the top open space, loved the neat shower by the pool….everything. It’s a trick getting in and out of that driveway, but it made coming and going an adventure. It was nice to get out of the busy town a few minutes away and into this quiet place.

2 splended weeks
2 splendid weeks in Corfu This was our 2nd stay at Villa Melolia. Our Norwegian family of 4 chose Corfu for our summer vacation in 2011 for the first time. We rented 2 different villas on the island, fell in love in Villa Melolia, and came back 2 weeks this summer. The property is special. Hidden in a quiet hillside, with a magnificent view towards the sea and Corfu town, which is only 15 minutes car drive away. The Laskaris has full control of everything. The house, swimming-pool, garden, cleaning and … everything is tip top. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, from gourmet food in restaurant Etrusco, to a number of Greek, Italian, English, Cinese … restaurants in Kassiopi (North), Nisaki, Ipsos, Corfu town and many other places. But cooking at home, in the kitchen at Villa Melolia with very good raw material from the local market is just as good. I (the father of the house) am a runner, and a morning run up to the beautiful village Ano Korakiana is recommended. Our 9 year old daughter loves horses, and we can strongly recommend Trailriders Horse trekking with Sally Ann, her professional team only 5 minutes car drive from Villa Melolia. The island is big enough to explore something new every day. Or, just stay at home, read a good book, relax and enjoy the view and the eagles flying above the estate. Strongly recommended.
