"The lodge is a beautiful property. The people all seemed very friendly and helpful. We had a couple of issues. Our room was apparently directly below the bar, and the noise of voices and furniture moving was so loud we could hardly talk together. I don't suppose there's anything to be done about it, and it did end by 11 pm, somewhat past the bedtime of old folks like us. The other problem is squeaky door hinges. The door of the room next door was so loud that even my mostly deaf husband asked...

"My family of three stayed here one night after climbing at nearby Mt. Yonah. It was a great price and location, and the staff was extremely kind. The beds were not that comfortable, and I certainly wouldn't have stayed in a double bed for more than one night, but it was exactly what I expected, and I would recommend it."

"Sometimes you just need to get away from the normal life and busyness at home. Sometimes you just need to breathe fresh air and slow down. This is the place if you want to do that! I spent hours on the back porch relaxing, and looking out over the river! My husband spent hours standing in the river fishing for trout-which we cooked and ate! I spotted two mallard ducks swimming in the river, a baby red eared turtle, a redheaded woodpecker, a hawk and many unique plants in the area. The property and home are very clean and had everything we needed: cookware and kitchen utensils, all the TV channels for watching movies at night, comfortable beds, really cool shower, easy check in and check out! I can’t say enough about this place-we are already looking forward to our next visit there."

"The pictures dont really give this cabin its justice. This cabin has lots of room for everyone. There are plenty of games and hiking trails as well as a front porch with patio lighting for nights. It is so peacful. We had the opportunity to see 3 bears on our stay. We had a blast!!!"

Bear Claw Cabin - Get away from it all in the North Georgia Mountains !!

Great Little Place

"This little cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway! The location is excellent…only 15 minutes or so to Blairsville, and in great proximity to a choice of state parks for hiking, fishing, etc. It was a quiet area, but felt safe and secure. Super clean, everything we needed was there - the coffee pot does take cone-shaped filters rather than the basket ones that are there, but they worked ok, so even that wasn’t an issue. This will definitely be a top choice for future weekends away!"

"This home was perfect for our family. Plenty of space without being on top of each other. The well equipped kitchen made cooking an easy task. Our family enjoyed the proximity of the home to the national parks. The way the home sits in the mountains we witnessed beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We are looking forward to going back. "
