Peaceful
This cabin was super cute, quiet, and peaceful! It was very clean and well kept. We only stayed for a couple days, but wished we could have stayed longer! It it very convenient to beautiful hiking trails and of course the cute town of Helen. Would definitely recommend this property! I’m hoping to bring my whole family back next time!

A taste of tranquility but not complete solitude.
Loved staying in this cabin, it's always nice to just get away from the hustle and bustle and sounds of Atlanta and spend time in nature. We had a small scare, the neighbors down the way popped some fireworks so it's not *complete* solitude but I think that makes it a nice plus for anyone who doesn't wanna be *too* far away.

Just what we were looking for
Perfect little cabin for a family recharge. Jacuzzi was a treat and we also loved making s’mores at the firepit. Only “complaint” is that every sound upstairs carried through the whole house, but that’s just part of the cabin experience.

True cabin experience
The location was convenient to many of the parks and local attractions in North Georgia. The setting isn't secluded but is very private. The layout and decor of the cabin provides a very cozy, warm experience with plenty of room for 4 adult guests without feeling cramped. Vacasa was very easy to work with and very responsive.

Bigfoot Bluff cabin
Great little cabin. Some surprises are driveway is straight up incline up the mountain. No coffee pot so bring k cups. You cannot adjust thermostat we were cold. It was set on 65. Maybe they could weather strip doors to keep cold from coming through so much in the winter.

One little thing
The only thing was on Saturday when we returned to the cabin. 830 pm 9ish. There was a sewer smell. It finally went away or we got used to it but there were no toilet issues. Other than that great stay. Enjoyed the hot tub. Beautiful place

Perfect getaway cabin
As advertised. This was the perfect cabin for a restful getaway. The cougar sculpture/painting on the stairway was a great touch. Extremely clean and a well equipped kitchen. It was all there. I will rebook this one when I need another rest from work. A quiet, out of the way setting. The outdoor gas grill needs serviced (not heating properly) but aside from that I have no complaints. Contactless entry and checkout. Thank you for the relaxation. This one is #1 on the list.

Great cabin! Perfect location
This was the perfect location for us to stay to do some fall hiking and Oktoberfest activities in Helen. It’s secluded and a bit of a haul from anything, but that’s a good thing. Hot tub was extremely nice after long hikes. Only 2 issues which prevented 5 stars: we found a juul vape pen under the covers of one bed. The bed seemed clean, but that was a bit odd. And also the internet went out after the first night. Not a huge problem but cell service is also not great out there. So, we couldn’t download directions to out adventures in advance. Overall, good stay!

4 day stay
Home was as described. Well lived in, which resulted in a few of the items being worn out or broken. The roof leaked a little during a rain storm. Upstairs faucet didn’t work correctly and leaked. The grill had broken knobs. I submitted all of these for repair, and vacasa serviced them the same day which was good. Other than that, it’s a pretty typical cabin with a nice secluded area. Very quiet.

Caught fire...
The cabin was a beautiful sight to be hold as me and my partner drove up. Unfortunately upon closer inspection the trash wasn't taken out, there was silly string and popped balloons around the fire pit, and a used tampon in the upstairs room. We decided we would make do I mean wasn't anything to horrible. Yes the tampon was gross but it could have been worse. On our second night the chimney actually caught fire and burned through the wall. Both fire extinguishers in the house were empty and the water house didn't have enough pressure to do anything about the flames. Finally firefighters got it under control and three hours later we were relocated to another cabin in the area.

Cozy stay on the mountains
Great 3 night stay. The driveway is steep but not as scary as a lot of the comments make it sound. Lots of stairs and up and downs if that's a problem for you - it wasn't for us. The hot tub was nice and clean for an older hot tub. Hope you're not afraid of dogs as you will get daily visits from random dogs at the front door and campfire. The cabin was nice and cozy. Housekeeping could have done a little better as there were beer caps and random trash throughout the porch and property. It is a cozy property and a great place to make memories with friends and family. The cabin had toiletries and a fully stocked kitchen if you decide to stay in and cook. I really wish there were blinds on the front and back door for privacy. It looks like there was at one time but you can see straight in and out at night. The wooden pull downs on the other windows didn't offer much privacy as you could see through them inside and outside at night as well. The views are nice but more on the woodsy vibe. It is 7 minutes away from beautiful overview stop off where you can see the sunrise over the mountains. I would highly recommend to do that. We had a great stay and would recommend this cabin.

Almost Perfect
The property is as advertised: wooden floors, gas fireplace, comfortable bedding, functional AC/heat, clean hot tub, and outdoor firepit. The reason I titled this review “almost perfect” is for 2, albeit minor, reasons. 1) The inside of the property was very clean, but there were 4 small green bags left on the back patio full of old dog poop. It made for a nice laugh, but other guests may find it gross. Hopefully this review will serve as a reminder to the cleaning crew to double check the patio. 2) It’s a pretty steep incline going up to the property. Thankfully the main road (Papas Mountain Rd) is paved, but some gravel from the property’s driveway had spilled onto the road and resulted in some uneasy arrivals. Another thing to note, you will have to take Richard Russell Scenic Highway in order to get to Helen. This is an extremely curvy road with steep drops on the sides and lots of up and down. It is beautiful when the weather is nice, but rather intense when the weather is bad. Keep that in mind when picking a vehicle for your trip. My 2019 Toyota 4Runner had no issues.

Perfect stay for our daughters birthday!
We had a great stay! Cabin has everything you need. The hot tub was already warm when we got there, our girls immediately got in and loved it. The space was perfect for the 4 of us. The communication was probably the best we've ever had with renting. Vacassa was in contact and very informative throughout our stay! One small note, the driveway up is pretty steep. Wasn't a problem for us with our truck, but feel it is something nice to know ahead of time 😊

Private/Secluded
The cabin was even better than the description. Extremely quiet and secluded with the National Forest in your back yard. The cabin is situated 15 minutes south of Blairsville and only 30 minutes NW of Helen. Lots of hiking, waterfalls and general outdoor fun just off your steps!

Great cabin and location but be aware of a very steep driveway!
Overall I loved the cabin and location. It was very clean and comfortable. All of the basic things and then some were stocked in the kitchen and bedrooms. Beds were extremely comfy! Just be prepared for a very steep driveway.

Great Cabin; Great Location
Cabin is pristine knotty pine, seems almost new. Comfortable furnishishings and beds. Good Wifi and TV. Appliances include dishwasher (!) and washer/dryer. There are 3 queen beds but limited living space makes it best for no more than 4 folks IMO: couch and one easy chair in LR, 4 stools at kithen counter (or outside picnic table) for dining Very private wooded lot: three cabins on the hill, only one of which is slightly visible thru the trees. Great location halfway between Blairsville and Helen, with a beautiful waterfall on the same road about 2 miles away. Access hill is very steep, might be impassable in snow.
