"Coober Pedy's scorching summer heat was no match for the cool comfort of our underground dugout! At a steady 23 degrees, it was a welcome respite from the blistering temperatures outside. Despite a sudden flash flood that swept through the town, our elevated dugout remained completely unaffected. While the main bed might have been a bit firm for some, we slept soundly each night, undisturbed by any discomfort. The property's lack of air conditioning was a non-issue, as the constant cool temperature and a gentle fan breeze kept us perfectly comfortable. Raymond, the caretaker, was incredibly hospitable. He not only ensured a smooth check-in but also went the extra mile by taking us on a fascinating tour of his opal mine. His warm hospitality and local insights truly enhanced our stay. We can't wait to return to this unique and peaceful retreat."

"Room was spacious, very clean with good quality mattress, pillows and manchester. Bathroom was "retro" but very clean with ample complimentary bath products. Took a little while for hot water to come through, but when it did it, it had good water pressure and was easily adjustable to preferred temperature. Car parking immediately adjacent to room. Will book again."
