"This island and beach are so remote, it feels all yours. The listing is accurate and we highly recommend this property. Cynthia, the owner, was prompt and detailed in her responses to our questions and her “on-site manager”, Mac, was great. I highly recommend this property. More details for interested visitors below…IF YOU PLAN TO STAY, it’s helpful to keep these details in mind, about which the owner was very helpful and forthcoming.- Ferry from Providentials to get to North Caicos (NC), which is PEOPLE ONLY. If you plan to have a car to explore North & Middle Caicos, you can rent them right where the ferry docks. Cynthia can provide more helpful details.- NC is REMOTE. Shops and gas stations are extremely rustic and sparsely stocked, so plan to pack grocery bags and hit the main grocery store (IGA) on your way to the ferry. Bring insulated bags for cold items.- Taxi in the airport line will take you to shop at the store on their way to taking you to the ferry. It will cost extra and the price is subjectively decided by the driver at drop off. Just go with it and get used to it. My guess is 100 - 150.- Barracuda Bar is walkable from the house and is the only on-water restaurant on NC.- Bring lots of USD. AMEX is rare. Visa is usually accepted. Meals out can be 250. Not all marked restaurants/resorts are open and hours change. - Mac w/ B&B is a great resource while on NC- A/C costs extra.- Fresh water pool 3- Bugs at house only at dusk/dawn when no breeze."

"Our family of five, boys ages 15-21, spent a wonderful week here at Whale Watch over Christmas. This was our first time traveling over the holiday and it did not disappoint. The house was perfect for us. We loved how close we were to the beach. The boys enjoyed fishing & snorkeling. The hidden beach is just amazing and it was great having Mudjin Beach Bar right there for lunch or even the dinner option a few days a week. We enjoyed having the plunge pool and the spectacular view from the porch and patio. We would love to come back again in the future! Definitely a more remote vacation but was exactly what we were looking for!"

"The Pelican Beach Hotel is amazing. It is quiet and the views are beautiful. The staff are amazing. Super nice and personable. Be sure to stop in and get some spa services from Kay. She is so sweet and does such a great job. "

"The Far Away villa is one of the best VRBO homes we’ve ever been to - it has everything you’ll need to enjoy your stay. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and modern. We always cook for ourselves, and the kitchen is incredibly well appointed (including everything you’d need for cooking and baking, as well as basic spices and Tupperware containers for leftovers). I can’t comment on the price/availablility of restaurants or groceries (we brought everything we’d need for the three days we were there); there are definitely stores along the way as you drive in from North Caicos but I have no idea about quality, selection or prices. There are some essentials that have been thoughtfully provided like sunscreen, beach towels, and a very large bottle of drinking water (the size that would sit atop a water dispenser). There’s a good selection of DVDs, as well as some streaming services. Dragon Cay is quiet and restful; swimming out by ‘the dragon’ and on the ‘secret beach’ was fantastic (lots of good waves, which our 20 and 22-year old boys enjoyed) and we managed to do some snorkelling on one of the calmer days. We drove out to the Conch Bar caves but decided not to tour ($30 USD pp, according to the gentleman who approached us). Bambara Beach is lovely (calm and very shallow water is great for small kids) and there were very few people there. Valerie (host) was super-responsive through the VRBO app and very helpful about returning some items we left behind."

"We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is spectacular and very clean. My kids loved the infinity pool and all the beach toys. We took out the kayaks and paddle boards daily. We saw sting rays right off the beach. We cooked a lot and the kitchen had all the amenities. The beds are comfortable. My kids only complaint was that there was only one TV, but that was a plus in my opinion. More family time."

"Lovely stay over the holidays in an extremely convenient location, yet quiet and off the path for serene relaxation! Perfect home for our family, offering ability to walk on Long Bay Beach, sit and relax in sun, or share stories over the fire pit at dusk! Ben was fabulous assistance from the minute we arrived, providing check in guidance and local recommendations, along with grooming the beach and grounds each day."

"This place was in incredible. You have to fly into Provinciales, take a 15 minute taxi ride (which the concierge for this Josie will set up for you,) and take a 30 minute ferry ride (also set up by concierge upon request.) We had a rental car waiting for us and drove the short drive to the house. Once we were there, we never had to leave. Perfect pool. Ping pong table. Our own private beach. Billiards. Games. Books. Views. Everything. It is not perfect. It is subject to the weather and elements, but it is incredible. The house is gorgeous and well stocked for our meals for 14 people three times a day. They have both kinds of coffee maker. We brought a lot of our food and liquor in checked bags. There’s a grocery store called KJs about ten minutes away. Five minutes further is Niques, a little bigger. There was the cutest outdoor dining at Baracuda Beacg Club and. Adam y restaraunt called Cilantros. The island is quiet and safe. There’s no traffic and very few people. The people we did encounter were so kind and hospitable. There is not night life. There’s a bar or two but if you want clubs etc, this is not the place.we walked the beach without seeing other people every day. We saw another family on the beach a ways down twice. The stars at night off the roof top area are magnificent. The temperature of air and water match well and there is always a breeze. We warned of mosquitos at dusk and after it rains. This is true but not awful. It was all around epic. "

"Carol and her husband were gracious hosts. The guesthouse is above the garage and has a private entrance. We loved that they had kayaks available for our use. Definitely visit Ricky’s Flamingo, Embers and Osteria Pizzeria. If you want to play some pool, Dragon Bar is where it’s at. Late night Thai at Kin Khao is the best way to end the evening. "
