"Booked this as a last minute alternative to a wet camping weekend which would allow our dog. And it turned out to be a lovely stay! Nice and clean, the prosecco in the fridge was a welcome find, and all facilities you want are there. You have to be aware this place is really out there in a rural area, nearest village is around 3 miles away and it's car, walk or taxi only, hence the 4 stars for that which you need to factor in if it suits you. "The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking). Now. "We had a great stay in this lovely lodge in a very peaceful location. Slight hiccup on arrival but this was quickly sorted and didn't spoil our stay at all. The lodge was ideally placed for many local beaches, walks and attractions. Stu was the perfect host and the kids are already asking when we can return! Simply the best holiday 😊"
