"Nice hotel within walking distance of the main street in El Calafate with restaurants and bars. Reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was fairly basic, but did offer cooked eggs on request. The room was nice - ours was on a heated corridor and also had under-floor heating - which was very useful for drying clothes and boots after a rainy day."

I was on the ground floor near the lobby and sometimes I could hear the noise, so I suggest a room further from there if you are sensitive to that. The walls are thin. I hear me people having sex one night. I did not care for that. But that was not the hotel’s fault. Bring your earplugs if you are sensitive to movie. "

"Fabulous hostel, really warm mid winter - both in the room and common areas, fireplace, the dogs were an unexpected boon! Modern rooms with excellent floor heating - exactly what you want/need after a long day out in Patagonian winter! Good food in the restaurant (arepas!), hot dishes included in the free breakfast, amazing views, reasonably-priced laundry service. Short walk to the town centre. Really friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't be happier."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hosteria Rukahue. There is a feeling of warmth and peacefulness in this cozy, family run hotel. Communication was excellent and service was attentive and personal. Thanks so much for the special homemade Celiac breakfast treats! The family room was perfect for three sisters travelling together. "Stayed here twice - one stay was in an older room and one was in a newer updated room. This hotel was away from the central area of town which I liked because it is more quiet and less chaotic than town center. Takes about ten minutes to walk downtown. Breakfast provided every morning and had a good selection of items to choose from. The bathroom in the older room was small and could use some improvements but the bathroom in the newer room was quite nice. This place is a no frills but...
