"The complex was serene! Felt nice to have our own space with outdoor space as well. It felt like we were in our own little villa. Was able to even see wild animals within the property itself! Also met one of the owners and he was very friendly. The only downside is that the roads getting to the property are very rough so a AWD car is recommended"

"The staff took very good care of us. My husband booked a birding tour through the Eco Lodge and the guide did an excellent job. Our room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The lodge is off the main roads so is more quiet. We would stay again."

The lodge was what you can expect for the price, certainly adequate enough and breakfast was more than enough and was included too. "The staff, breakfast, and location were great, and the nearby capuchin monkeys and wildlife were delightful. But… a hotel has one main job to do: provide a comfortable bed and pillow for a good night’s rest. Our three-night stay wasn’t great. Bed and pillows didn’t cut it. We liked the help with getting transportation and an excursion to the Cloud Forest Reserve, but we were always dreading the night’s sleep. If you’re going to drive all the way to Monteverde, stay somewhere more comfortable."
