"Very cool place and located near lots of shops and restaurants, with amazing views. And i want to give a special shout out to the front desk who were very accommodating and even helped us book a tour of the city. I would highly recommend anyone stay here!"

"We didn’t get the bottle of wine and we forgot to ask for it. However, the hotel, the room and location was stunning. Specially the people who work at the hotel, they were wonderful! All of them were kind and friendly. We even met the owner whom was very kind and attentive to all our needs. I’d come back for next time. Kudos to Giuseppe for his time and recommendations!"

"Excellent service friendly staff with great service. Small hotel but full service with roof top bar, great breakfast only has 12 rooms so don’t wait to book this as so close to all Matera has to offer. We travel extensively and give this 5 stars "

"A little dated but has a nice glass-enclosed dining area. Breakfast buffet has great variety. I would say it's more of a 3-star than a 4-star hotel but the location is excellent. A 4-star hotel should provide body lotion in the bathroom. The bar of soap was tiny."

"Perfect location in center of Matera. Staff was helpful and friendly, amazing room with view and excellent breakfast. Plumbing makes noise at night, but still would stay here again. "

"Resort is incredibly beautiful. Most if the staff were very friendly. However the keycard I had to purchase for 30e did not work at restaurant and bar. And the property is very large. I was directed back to the check in twice which was annoying the second time. And they don’t accept cash or visa. Just the key card. I had no choice but to order the buffet- a la carte was no available. Aside from this I enjoyed my short 1 night stay. Ps no one answers the phone, tv remote doesn’t work and neither...

"This is a property in the Sasso Caveoso in Matera, the most incredible and one of the most ancient places on earth. The views of the Sassi and the caves are incredible and the room carved in the rock was spacious and comfortable. I would have added a TV close to the bed and a second sink in the bathroom but altogether the place is great. Very good service ans evryone is superfriendly and helpful. Also great the breakfastr buffet"

"Beautiful property and excellent staff. Breakfast was excellent. Only downside was no door to bathroom, only a curtain, but it is a cave room. I would recommend this location and would go back again."

"The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows. These rooms are very nice and have a good spacious shower. Some rooms are not in the check-in building and so a walk down some stone steps may be required. "

"An absolutely marvelous place to stay. Fine Pugliese cuisine is also offered in the restaurant, the food is brilliant and the service is second to none. Our waiter, is an incredible ambassador to both the hotel and the Pugliese people. What a wonderful human being. This is an exceptional establishment. "
