"First time in Cold Lake and it didnt disappoint"

"Overall, this a great stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and very accommodating to any concerns or issues. I rated lower on cleanliness due to my most recent stay: the shower drain had not been cleaned in what looks like some time; the water was almost overflowing onto the floor after just a few moments; when I lifted the metal panel there was a LOT of hair, scum and a couple pieces of garbage. Lower on the facilities: construction going on for some time, the door adjacent the parking lot seemed to get stuck when trying to get in while it was cold, another side exit door barely opens with enough room to squeeze out as it gets stuck on the sidewalk, snow removal was very slow and at times blocked off access to the parking lot around the hotel. The room was tidy, but the bed wasn't made correctly and the mattress protector and sheet kept coming off. Kitchen/restaurant in the hotel is amazing, along with the food, but access is limited to certain days/hours - they do have a snack area that will do in a pinch, but there's not much selection outside sandwiches and junk food. All that said, this is the only place I stay when visiting the area!"
