A very welcoming, clean property with extra touches such as, basic fresh groceries stocking the fridge (bread, eggs, milk, butter etc) which was a welcome touch, as we had travelled some distance, had not had time to stop to shop, and just wanted to settle in for the night, but were also "peckish"!
The property was spacious, both inside and out, which was ideal for our our active family - the pool table was a BIG hit and provided many hours of "cross generational" time and interactions! The games cupboard was also a very good idea, and well used. Outside there was much appreciated space and if the ground had not been muddy I'm sure the children would have availed themselves of the playgound structures....we had 3 boys with lots of energy to burn!
Beds were most comfortable and well supplied with beautiful duvets and quilts.
The country setting was lovely, and quiet, but also very convenient to town (10mins drive), should one need to go there.
The property offered a variety of options for spending our time together...something to suit everyone.
Only challenge was cooking for 6/7 ...took a bit of planning using 2 hotplates and minimal counterspace. I was very hesitant to use the toaster oven as it was at quite a height, and from my perspective this was a safety issue because if I was to try and remove a cooked item with juice or hot sauce in the dish this could have spilled out onto me as I was removing it. This is the same reason I dislike and won't use above stove microwave ovens.
We brought our own crockpot which helped.
We would consider using this property again
