"We rarely stay in pubs (particularly not on a Saturday night). This venue was exceptional, had clearly been refurbished recently (smell of fresh paint). Good to see locals in the bar, who welcomed us ahead of hotel staff. Room was clean and well appointed. We ate in restaurant in evening - food and service were both excellent (although portion size was HUGE !!!). Breakfast good in morning."

Upon arrival, I was confused about which property I would be staying in, but after opening the doors and reading the signs posted inside, it’s very straightforward. "Stayed here for a couple nights. The room was a bit rough around the edges, but nothing too bad. It was a good size room, plenty of space. It's in a quiet area that isn't a long walk into the city centre. It has free parking and a kettle in the room which I always appreciate. Alexandra park is nearby and worth a visit for the views. Overall we had no issues with this hotel 🙂"
