"The most disappointing thing about this place was the bathroom facilities. There was mould everywhere in the shower - up the walls, on the ceiling. The shower curtain looked liked it hadn't been changed in decades...it was scary to touch. The place also smelled of cigarettes....not very pleasant. While it is a hostel, I have certainly stayed in better hostels both in Auckland and major cities around the world. By far the worst hostel I have stayed in."

The house was modern and the area was great for sunbathing, walking on the beach, for a swim when the water was high tide or going to a beach close by to deeper water. We had a car and could discover the wonderful area around the West Coast. "
