"This was superb, our room was so beautiful French doors opening out to a terrace with views out over St Jean de Luis. The bed was so comfortable linens were of the highest quality , Our room and the property were furnished with beautiful antiques and collections. A very personalised accomodation . Breakfast was excellent . We wished we could have stayed longer. A bit of a hike down the steep hill to the town and restaurants. Best to take the car down. "This new Axel is beautiful. From my initial greeting by a very hospitable Racquel, to the gorgeous room. Everything is spotlessly clean, obviously it’s new but the bed was comfortable and a gorgeous shower. My only tiny negative is that the spa pool could have been warmer, but the hotel was superb value for money and a fifteen minute walk from The Conch and incredible food options of the Old Town. I would recommend it highly"
