"This log cabin is the perfect getaway for a couple or family looking for a retreat Homie Vacay! The accommodations are superb. The home is clean and fully stocked with necessities in the bathrooms and kitchen. The decor is lovely. The beds are comfortable. It’s away from the hustle and bustle. Very hospitable with farm raised eggs in the refrigerator. They were delicious! The domesticated pigs and goats around the home were friendly. We will definitely be back!"

"This little rustic cabin was warm and inviting. Had most of everything you'd need. It is very secluded right on the Crab Run stream which was rolling while we were there from all of the rain. When you walked out on the lovely covered porch it always sounded like rain even if it wasn't raining due to the rolling stream. What a relaxing sound with your morning coffee on the porch. The gas wood stove made it nice and toasty inside and the large fire pit was wonderful for relaxing outside. All...

I was traveling with my dog and was happy to find a place that was pet friendly. I loved the simplicity of the Payne Cabin. The cabin and property was very clean and easy to find. "We were looking for a quiet, out in the country place to celebrate our anniversary and came across this quaint cabin just outside Monterey, VA. The cabin is cozy, and it worked well for just the two of us. We took advantage of the hot tub which was very well maintained. We also lit up the firepit on another evening while watching the moon rise over the hills. The cabin is just a few minutes from Monterey (which sits in the valley just below the cabin.) Front office staff was pleasant and accommodating both times (It was the same woman both times...I just can't remember her name. ) If you are going to stay here, you so need to bring a hair dryer, conditioner (shampoo is provided), creamer( if you don't like French vanilla)"
