Guests have access to the entire cabin as well as cedar barrel sauna and fire pit area out front. Guests are welcome to access the Chilliwack River just across the property line but please keep in mind that the river can be dangerous and to access at your own risk.
Located in the Chilliwack River Valley, you and your guest(s) will have your own space and privacy for a relaxing retreat. Enjoy the views of the soaring mountains from the large windows and 2 sliding doors. Lots of natural light as the guesthouse is south facing.
Built with beauty and charm this unique cabin comes fully equipped with a fridge, stove & oven, toaster, kettle, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and stocked with the essential cooking tools, plates, glasses & cutlery. Tea, coffee, water and basic spices are provided. In case it’s needed, please find a first aid kit and fire extinguisher in the kitchen.
The cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults - the sofa bed is about the size of a double so it might be a bit too tight for 4 adults to share the cabin. The bedroom has a Spring Air queen mattress and a separate zoned heat & AC unit. The side tables on each side of the bed provide power sockets and USB charging ports to conveniently charge all your devices. We are not set up for infants as unfortunately there is no room to accommodate cribs.
The 3 piece washroom includes a smart bidet toilet with heated seat. The shower has a handheld shower / rain shower and steam shower. Complimentary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash and make-up remover) fresh towels, hair dryer and eucalyptus pucks for the steam shower are provided.
Living space has designated work area or can be used as a dining table, electric fireplace, TV, sofa that can be turned into double bed (pillows and blankets are stored in the ottoman). This area also has a separate zoned heat and AC unit.
Outdoor patio area has dining table + 4 chairs and a BBQ grill. The Western Red Cedar Barrel sauna has a large window overlooking the river with views of the Chilliwack River Valley Mountains.
Important: We are committed to protecting our properties and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent verification.
Please note:
1. Before your booking begins for all reservations on platforms other than Airbnb, we require that you purchase a damage waiver for $35. The damage waiver protects both you as the guest and the host in case you cause accidental damage up to $500 during a booking.
2. The cabin is located 300ft from the river. Please remember that the river can be very dangerous and that any activities undertaken such as kayaking, cold plunges or swimming should be done under the supervision of experienced professionals.
3. There is an owner's suite at the top of the property which is used routinely.
4. Firewood is provided up to a certain amount and then if you need more, please bring your own. Campfires are only permitted when there is no fire ban in effect (check online to make sure its safe and legal).
5. Most people will lose cell service heading to the cabin. There is high speed WIFI on the property and we encourage everyone to turn on WIFI Calling prior to getting here.
6. Please note that the property has well water so it's best to drink from the provided water cooler.
7. Please note that in the rare event there is a power outage, the cabin does not have a backup generator which means that no lights, water or toilets will work until power is restored. If an outage does occur due to a severe storm, it is usually resolved within 4-6 hours.
