House Rules:

1. Please read over and agree to the rental agreement before booking. Any damages or house rule violations will be deducted from the damage deposit.

Rental Agreement and House Rules
(Once you book, you agree to all terms.)

General Principles:

• These House Rules are intended to ensure that our property and neighbors are respected. Rest assured, there should be no problems if that happens, but if you feel you cannot follow our Rules, we respectfully ask that you not book with us.
• Please respect our property and neighbors (there are families in the association) and keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 p.m. Guests are not permitted past 10 p.m.

Zero Tolerance Policy:

• If any party that may disturb our neighbors is thrown, large or small, or anyone engages in drug use, including marijuana use, we will require you to leave the property and impose the fines below.

Damage Deposit and Fines:

• We have overwhelmingly positive relationships with our guests and are rarely forced to fine anyone. Our intent is not to prevent you and your group from enjoying yourselves. We want all of our guests to have fun! Instead, our intent is to weed out bad actors and prevent situations that may disturb our neighbors and damage our property.
• We impose fines if any party is thrown, large or small ($1,000); anyone smokes in the property ($350); the keys are not returned ($35); or any theft occurs ($500 minimum depending on the item). We may also impose a $100 fine for excessive noise.
• If you timely let us know that an item is missing or damaged, we will simply charge a replacement cost. But if this is unreported, we will impose a fine of, or reduce your damage deposit by, three times the replacement cost for the missing or damaged item.
• If the number of guests exceeds the number specified in the reservation, we will impose a $25 charge per unspecified guest each night. If the number of guests exceeds the maximum allowed by our listing, we will impose $50 fine for each extra guest each night, and either keep your damage deposit or impose a $100 fine.
• On rare occasion, when our home is left unusually dirty, the cleaner charges extra. If this occurs, you will be charged $50 for each hour of cleaning beyond the allotted cleaning time.
• Checking out after 11 a.m. on the last day of your stay may result in a $50 fine if you are not out by 11:15 a.m. and an additional $50 fine for each subsequent hour.

After Booking:

• After booking with us and before your stay, we will require you to send us a picture of your government-issued ID. (We will respect your privacy. This process is no different from a hotel requiring to see your ID upon arrival.) After receiving your ID, we will send you access instructions for the unit approximately one week before your stay or immediately if your stay is less than one week away.
• Individuals who reside locally in Chicago or in nearby surrounding areas may be asked to cancel.
• We may call you to conduct a final screening. If we reach out, access instructions will not be released until we speak. If we do not hear from you within 48 hours after reaching out for the screening, we may ask you to cancel your reservation.

Check-out:

• Check-out is at 11 a.m. on the last day of your stay. This applies to all stays unless at least one day before check-out: (1) an alternate plan has been agreed to, and (2) payment for late check-out or extending your stay has been made.
• Checking out on time is extremely important. The cleaners will clean right after your stay, and new guests often check in shortly thereafter.

College Graduation
We had family come in from out of town and we had another rental but we needed more room. I was able to find this unit which was within walking distance to our other rental. Conveniently located to the Red line, shopping and nightlife. We walked into downtown Andersonville on both Clark and Broadway. We walked to Jewel/OSCO for groceries. We walked to several bars on Broadway at night and felt safe. We took the Red line to Loyola University, downtown to the River Walk North, Mag Mile, and Millennium Park. Rather than call an Uber/Lyft, to get to MDW, we took the Red line to the Roosevelt stop and transferred to the Orange line which went to MDW, about 45 minute ride. Would definitely stay again if we make it back to Chicago. Thank you!

Great Friendcation Spot
Me and my best friend rented this for a long weekend away. So close to all Andersonville’s best. Clean, comfortable bed and couch, easy to walk to almost anything. The hosts give clear check in / check out instructions as well as all the other rules of the property. Parking spot is tight so just don’t bring a huge car if you are able.

Very well lit street in a safe neighborhood. Lots of amazing asian restaurants and everything is within walking distance. Parking was a bit tight and would be easily fixed if some vegetation were trimmed. Short drive to Michigan Ave. We'd certainly stay here again.

Five day Chicago stay
I brought my grandson to go to a Cubs game Navy pier downtown all the typical tourist things. We found this apartment to be very comfortable. It had a lot of extra food condiments to use even though I didn’t cook. I appreciated everything that they had for our comfort. Alex was very communicative. He even suggested local eateries we might enjoy and told us how to get to the Cubs game and where the train stop was.Had a wonderful time.

Not clean
The bathroom was not clean. Had to have the cleaning staff come back 2 days in a row as the first time they came absolutely nothing was touched. Also the bath towels were not adequate size and were extremely worn out as were all the towels in the bathroom. The other aspects of the apartment were okay and the location was close to the town of Andersonville. It was quite a distance from the train (not just a few short blocks as advertised).

Perfect Andersonville Stay and Great Communication
My stay was wonderful, enhanced by great communication and thoughtfulness demonstrated by the owners. The unit is attractive, clean, and well-appointed, with a very comfortable bed. The washer and dryer made packing light for a longer trip much easier. Consider this listing a top choice if you're looking to enjoy all of the amenities of Andersonville in a comfortable home away from home.

Location was perfect!
This location was ideal for being able to walk to our event down the street which was the reason for our stay in Chicago. The unit was exactly as described. Although a parking spot was provided, we actually didn’t have a car and were able to walk to get groceries, eat at restaurants and do a little shopping. I had just a couple of issues upon check-in but my email was responded to within minutes and the items were addressed within hours. I would have given a 5 star rating if everything had been perfect upon check-in but I appreciate the speed with which things were taken care of!

Andersonville is wonderful!
We were very happy we chose Andersonville for our home while we explored Chicago. We did so many great things: hiked the 606, art museums, the beach, BAR ROMA!!, kayaking, the river walk, etc. This was a lovely neighborhood and great food nearby. The accommodations were very nice. The sleeper sofa, however wasn't as great as prior reviews stated. Could use an updated mattress and it sagged quite a bit. All in all, we were so happy we stayed in Andersonville.
