We stayed here to celebrate my son's graduation from Moody Bible Institute! Location was perfect, the kitchen is well stocked with all of the needed supplies to cook. Plenty of room and we felt very safe. Dean the property manager was so helpful for anything we needed.
We enjoyed our stay in chicago. This place is very convenient! We used both the brown line and red line and we were able to get everywhere we needed to be. Loved the parking spot.
Stayed here while in town for a wedding. Such a cozy space that we were able to enjoy with friends. So many unique pieces of furniture and memorabilia. Dean was also super communicative and accomodating.
We came to visit our son in Chicago with some friends from England and we loved the location of this condo. Clean, lots of room and Deans’s guitars were awesome. We will be back! All 5 stars for sure!

Brought our son to Chicago to attend a Riot Fest for his Birthday; and was very pleased with the unit we rented. Not to mention the decor was very fitting as the apartment had awesome rock n roll memorabilia throughout. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. we walked out the front door and was in the middle of downtown Chicago. All you had to do was hope on an electric bike to get wherever you wanted to go. Conveniently, the electric bikes were also located on the corner right by the apartment. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend.
Also, I have sent a private message inquiring on a few pieces of jewelry I left behind. If you could please help me to retrieve those I would be most grateful. Thank you so much!
Very impressed with the decor and it was the perfect vibe for our Rock and Roll weekend at Wrigley Field seeing a concert. The hosts were accommodating and responded quickly with any questions. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The area is in a great location with plenty of things to do and the brown line is very close by.

Great location - fantastic owner!
I recommend this spot! Very clean, great location. Dean (owner) is incredibly responsive! 5 stars. Only hiccups (quickly overcome) were auto parked in our parking spot and no water on third days stay.
If in Chicago, give this place a try!
Second time back to this property and will be back again. So convenient being right across the street from the L platform, especially when it was cold. The apartment is full of fun decor and so comfy to have as a home base after exploring the city. Walking distance to a lot and a quick train ride to the rest. Thank you, Dean, for another great, long weekend. Such a wonderful place to stay while we play.
Good apartment with kitchen and living area. Decent sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Parking available, short walk though may be easier to pack light due to parking spot being distance from apartment.
Loved the rock and roll theme as we were in Chicago for a concert so really cool!!
Ive stayed at a few rentals in chicago. This was by far the most unique and best place. Property owner was extremely friendly and easy to contact. Place was clean and we loved all the decor. We used the record player and loved all the records. Felt safe the whole time. The rooms were dark which was great for us sleeping in. We were going to watch a football game at a bar but decided to stay and watch at the rental bc it was so cute & the tv was big! We will be back :)
Check in was easy. Property was as shown in photos and worked well for our family of four. Our stay was for five nights. We realized not enough paper towels or toilet paper has been left and there were no kitchen towels or Kleenex. I contacted the property manager and he was very responsive; they brought what we needed the following day so that was great. We really liked the location since the brown line was just across the street - made getting around east. Would recommend!

Impeccable loft in perfect area of downtown!
This place was amazing! Dean was always available and responds immediately! Location is perfect for all things city related! Only negative thing I can say, is we stayed on the second floor loft. There is a third floor loft too. And it sounded like a herd of elephants was bowling every night with people walking up there. Even at six in the morning, we could start to hear them. We were also above a bar, so the music could be heard too at night. Besides that, the place was mind blowing!

Nice but noisy
The place was nice and the owner kindly gave us a parking space which was great, but the people upstairs came home between 2AM and 4AM. I don't know if they are permanent residents or renters, but they were super noisy and we basically didn't sleep from 2AM to 5AM both nights. We expected city noise, which was there, but the upstairs neighbors made impossible to sleep. We won't be staying here again.
Stayed for my sons wedding. Loved the free parking in back.Verrrry nice decor. Had to use the toaster in the living room as no plugs in the kitchen.
The REAL problem was the entry. Im seventy, my wife is seventy one, my brother is 82 and his wife is 77.
The appartment is on the second floor and has an EXTREMELY steep stairway going up. the risers also are not
the same height. No carpeting and extremely filthy.
Spacious and well-equipped condo in convenient location
We were traveling with our adult son and girlfriend and really appreciated having the extra room in this spacious condo. The kitchen was well-equipped, even though we didn't cook! Loved the high ceilings and the large living area and windows. Close to the train station (brown line), with a Starbucks, Dunkin and Walgreens right across the street. Walkable to red line and Michigan Ave. Two things to note--the restaurant downstairs is closed and vacant, so the front of the building doesn't match the exterior photos. There's also a fairly steep staircase to the condo. Honestly, coming in the first time, it didn't look great! BUT the inside of the condo is exactly as pictured and lovely. Also, since you're in the the city and next to the train, you're going to have street noise, including at night. This wasn't unexpected and wasn't a problem for us. Overall, we had a great time, appreciated that almost everything was there for us (coffee, shampoo, towels, extra blankets & pillows, etc) and loved having the extra space!

Not as expected
We all thought this apt. would be perfect based on the description of the property on VRBO and the reviews we read. However, we were very disappointed. We noticed right away when we entered the stairway to the apt that the walls, stairs, handrail etc were terribly dirty. And not esp safe. Stairs are steep, and short in depth. We then noted that the apt was not esp. clean either. The floors were not cleaned from wall to wall. Noted they were very dirty under furniture and behind furniture.
The netting over the master bed was filthy with dead, dried bugs on top of it.
The parking behind the apt was very sketchy. Nothing about the location seemed safe to us. We saw several things that caused concern and at one point a man spoke aggressively to our male friend and made negative hand gestures. He was sitting at a picnic table right out side our entrance door. He threw several things on the ground before leaving. .
We made the best of it and did not spend much time in the apt.
We would not return or recommend to our friends.
The positives were that the owners were available when needed and friendly. The apt is decorated very well in a rock and roll theme.
Unique apartment in the River north, close to Rush st, local restaurants, and fun! The apartment is a bit noisy during the day, with a restaurant below that has outdoor music. But, we weren’t in the apartment much in the day. However, there is a newer night club upstairs next to us that disrupted sleep on Friday and Saturday; the owner assured me that it was a new problem and they would be working on dealing with it. I hope they do because the place otherwise was great!
Honestly, and truthfully, this is just a great location for any and all things Chicago!
Half a block away from the brown line and only a few blocks away from the red line, you can get almost anywhere in the city without driving. We parked our vehicle upon arriving and didn’t touch it until we left.
Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance or we took the train. The Air and Water show was about a 10 minute walk. Old Town is about a 10 minute walk. The main bar and restaurant area of River North is well under a 10 minute walk. Chinatown was 10 min and Soldier Field was 15 min on the red line. How awesome is that?!?!
There is an awesome club called The Chalet right next-door that is a great time to hang out with wonderful people. The Soul & Vegan restaurant right beneath the location has incredible food (I mean chicken and waffles? Yes!). There are three coffee shops within 2 blocks if that is more your vibe.
As far as the actual rental. It’s everything you think it will be in more. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The couch and other furniture is all extremely comfortable too. Tons of space to hang out and extremely clean.
As the listing clearly states, the stairs on the way up are a little steep but easily manageable for most. The location is very safe. There is some city noise in the living room, but the bedrooms are very quiet.
Dean (the host) is very responsive and helpful!!
Very cool space.
Great location near Red Line (1/3 mile walk) and Brown/Purple Line (200 meters walk)
Included parking spot was a huge bonus.
Owners were very responsive in communication.
It is a 2nd floor apartment and there is not an elevator - stairs are a bit steep.
