Handy to downtown Evanston. Easy check in. Our only issue was a room right by the door to the stairs and we could hear the door slam and subsequently rattle our door every time someone went up/down the stairs. Also we could hear people in the hall as loudly as if they were in our own room. I would stay here again but ask for a room not by the stairs.

Staff at the front desk was awesome. Stayed two nights but didn’t get our room cleaned. Had to request two new towels. Booked city view which you could hear the train. It didn’t wake us up. It was still a nice stay. We would go back.

The hotel is easy distance to downtown with food and to walk to the beautiful lake. You can hear rhe 'El" go by occassionally but it didn't bother me. I thought I had seen somewhere in its website about being more sustainable and not using as much disposable plastic, but I was offered bottled water when I became an IHG member and at breakfast I got metal flatware, but the cups for coffee and juice were plastic-based. I also would have liked bins for recycling paper and bottles. Other than that it was great stay.
