The cottage is surrounded with a breath taking oceanview from the lovely front deck with its cozy sitting area with bamboo and a water fountain. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you would require as if your at home away from home. Located in Sunny Saltair 5 minutes from Chemainus with its world renowned famous Murals. We are located only 15 minutes from the Nanaimo Cassidy Airport , 20 minutes from Duncan and 25 minutes from the BC ferry terminals. Cowichan Valley boasts beautiful scenery with its l wineries, farmers markets and local eateries. The cottage includes a projection TV with Netflix, WIFI, hot tub, BBQ, Boating/fishing excursions are availablea. The cottage is close to local lakes, rivers, walking and biking trails. Cute Cottage
My jusband and I stayed in this wonderful little house for four nights in September. We found the owner who greeted us upon our arrival very friendly and responsive when we needed to contact him later with further quesdtions. We were especially impressed with how well equipped the house was and enjoyed the view and the use of the hot tub in the evenings. Highly recommend.

Beautiful views, cute, very clean home!
Dean was very welcoming and always quick to be in touch if we needed anything. We were very impressed with how clean the property was. It was immaculate! The views from the home, especially the deck and hot tub were fantastic. The location was also really nice with easy access to many places in the area. We really enjoyed our stay!

Had a great time. House and deck were fabulous. Needed more garbage and recycling bags and 1.5 rolls of toilet paper wasnt enough for 4 ladies! Otherwise we had a great stay. We would stay again! Maya Norte is an amazing restaurant, highly recommended it.

Comfortable and Clean
Stayed 2 nights with my wife in August. The place is very nice. Modern with nice finishes and carpentry. 2 nice decks and the hot tub a nice bonus. Clean and comfortable. Bed was comfy, ceiling fans were welcome. The kitchen had all major appliances and the BBQ grill outside was top of the line for those who like grilling. Our host Dean was quick to respond and was helpful and able to meet the requests we had. Home entertainment system & wifi were very good. One drawback however was that Chemainus road out front has steady traffic. Not a big deal but if you are looking for quiet and/or privacy it's maybe not the best place. Centrally located to many hikes and attractions and the ocean of course:) Grocery stores close by. The kitchen has no consumables, save salt and pepper, dish soap and paper towel so if you plan on cooking you will need everything (cooking oil, aluminum foil, any spices etc.). We enjoyed our stay but from our experience with VRBO's on the island and sunshine coast it was priced on the high side for the location and amenities, though not outrageously so. Could definitely do worse :) 4 out 5

We had a great stay. Property owners were friendly and full of great tips/information about the area. They were quick to respond to any questions we had. House was clean. We had a great time and hope to come back. Area is central to many activities and shopping.

Great place to stay. Close to Ladysmith, Duncan. We came here as a girls trip. Four adults.
We really enjoyed staying here. Our only issue was with the fold out bed. Not very comfortable. Well suited for 2 people bedroom lovely. Not really suited for 4 adults sleeping due to fold out bed.

Comfortable cottage for 2
A good base for exploration, with all basic needs met. A fan for the living room and an ice-cube tray would be the only additions for the comfort of hot-weather guests.

We were lucky enough to book a last minute weekend away when our previous plans fell through... what a score! Dean was so kind and welcoming. We spent most of our time soaking up the sun all day and soaking in the hot tub at night. It was exactly what we needed.

A short get away
Our stay was short but very relaxing. The space was like the photos but the view was even better. The ocean and the mountains were amazing as you sat on the deck or sat in the hot tub.

Cozy with a view!
The cottage is very cozy and beautifully decorated. The host is friendly, and the view is awesome. Great bed, good kitchen facilities, well heated and lit, nice use of colour - completely comfortable with all the necessities but not overdoing it. A bit hard to find in the dark initially.

Loved Dean's seaside cottage!
We had a wonderful, relaxing getaway at Dean's cottage. He was a great attentive host with a beautiful cottage he rebuilt himself that was originally built in the 1940s. He gave us tips on where to explore and hike close by and helped with tips on where to eat. The hot tub was a nice bonus in the evenings as well with a view of the ocean. So beautiful!

Amazing views and a great home base for adventures on the island
Dean was very accommodating and very knowledgeable of things to do in the area. He Responded quickly when we had questions. The property was as advertised and very clean and inviting. The patio was amazing to have breakfast on while looking out over the ocean. The hot tub was great and was a perfect way to relax at the end of the day. The road is nearby and some reviews had said it was a problem but the road is barely used and traffic was never a problem. We will be back next time and look forward to deans hospitality!!
