The municipality is limited to the north by Spain, to the east by the municipality of Vinhais, to the southeast by Valpaços, to the southwest by Vila Pouca de Aguiar and to the west by Boticas and Montalegre.

The main access routes are EN103 (starting in Neiva, near Viana do Castelo, where it connects with the EN13, and extends through a landscape that is multifaceted by the East of the Alto Minho, and throughout the North area of Trás-os- Montes, passing through places like Braga, Chaves, Vinhais, until finishing in Bragança) and the A24 (Chaves-Viseu). It also has an industrial zone with several regional companies. It can be said that it is an entrepreneurial city because, in terms of tourism, it presents rural tourism houses and good restaurants for the great lovers of Transmontana gastronomy.

Ils nous ont accueillis avec des fleurs, un panier de légumes, des oeufs, des citrons.... La maison est très bien équipée. Bref il n'y a plus qu'à poser ses valises. Nous reviendrons !"

"My name is Angela. I stayed at this house from the 14th to the 26. We had an amazing time. It’s so well located once you inside you hear no noise beautiful old house with tons of fruit trees that they told us that we could eat. I can’t wait to go back. "Our stay at Pedro's was amazing. The listing is just as pictured. All 3 bedrooms were good size and the bedroom with 2 twin beds was perfect for my toddlers. Definitely kid friendly with Netflix available on the TV. The kitchen had plenty to get us started and was a good size. The washer also worked well and any amenities we needed to start with were there. Pedro gave us plenty of information and clear instructions on how to check in and out. The neighborhood was nice and quiet no issues there....
